I fell in love with Brighton Collectibles
years ago in the mid to late 90's sometime.
Here are my favorite earrings...
and sniff sniff they don't make them anymore. Sorry...but one of the very reasons I fell in love.
They do still carry a bracelet that is similiar.
So I have a couple "recession tactics" that you may or may not find valuable. I guess only in the situation if you are already a Brighton fan or want to save some money on new jewelry.
I have this set that I adore and it is double sided to wear two different ways. I really like hearts (as does Brighton) I wear this a lot and love the versatility of the all silver and silver-black-bling
So Brighton believes you should buy two sets of earrings to go with this ensemble of course.
I make jewelry, own all the tools, and try to be pretty crafty.
So if you buy one pair of earrings....you take apart the earrings first (reuse what you can at a later date) of course!
1-Attach two micro jump hooks to your charm. So your charm faces forward, of course. 2-Purchase open hook leverbacks (see picture) 3-You can slip the jump rings on and off and switch them to alternate to both sides that way.
Voila! Hmmm. Too simple to be described, right? So if that is not crafty enough for you...
here is another tip.....
You can purchase most of the Brighton Pendant Necklaces for about $40-$70. Depending on the style and etc.
So did you know that the keychains and keyfobs are only $15-$25????
I was there shopping with a friend one day a year ago and I had an "aha moment" There was a keyfob with 3 really cute pendant dangles and I thought hmmmm.....If I take this apart and put a new jumpring on it......I could make 3 separate necklaces from it. It is the same size as the one on the necklace. Hmmmm. All I have to do is slide this off the keychain. Hmmm..... And I get a new key ring that says Brighton on it. Hmmmm.
Are you following me yet???
So my friend Kay and I purchased 2 sets of the keychain. I made 6 pendants out of the mix. I gave one to my Mom and so did my friend to her Mom, too. I kind of like that we have all four of us in on the secret! Of course Brighton puts all kinds of cute danglies on the necklaces, and most are fixed on a chain that it cannot be removed from. So you lose all that, and have to own a plain silver chain of course. Ummm....do you have a plain silver chain??
So on to the next tip...this is a good one.....
Have you ever been to Palm Springs? The weather in California is always sunny you know. There is a group of outlet stores there ...with a Brighton Collectibles Outlet. Yes, I said Outlet. They get all the stuff that gets marked down from past seasons.
I am telling you...30 to 80% OFF. Apparently the only one in the whole country. I bought a pair of earrings for $4 a few years back and they are cute!
They go with everything. Who cares that they were last year's model???
Not me.
Did you know that the only thing they sell that is genuine sterling silver is their rings? I also have a stackable ring problem. I got kinda addicted and they mix and match and are so dang cute...
So I hope I actually saved you some money today. Please do not blame me if you need to go to the nearest Brighton store later today.
I was only here trying to help... and passing along some recession busting tips.

I love Brighton and the outlet stores are always a required stopping point. :)
Hubby got the day off so we are headed to Sedona and will also ride the Verde Canyon train. Sniff! No garage sales for me! Let's try again though. I will look forward to it.
