I have OCD = Obsessive Cullen Disorder

* FOR THE BOOK GIVEAWAY...please read Steph's post below mine....and don't forget to leave a post with your contact info...

I just wanted to chime in about the book giveaway! That and I really do have OCD=Obsessive Cullen Disorder. Someone else coined the phrase and I am going to steal it. The main character's name is Edward Cullen...The books really are awesome, I could not put them down! My Mom even fell in love with Edward. SO if you can be in your 60's, 40's, 30's or a teenager...what better recommendation do you need??

Here is the swoon worthy photo of the stars of the Twilight movie coming out in December:

Thanks to Entertainment Weekly for the photo I found online. I could not buy the magazine last week on the newstand cuz it was sold out...pretty much everywhere. There was even an article in Newsweek that I saw. SO yeah, the books are that good and if you have not read yet...leave a post and join the pop culture celebration!

I also found this on flickr and thought it was post-worthy:

So yeah I am a 42 year old "Twilighter" too,

We'd like to introduce you to Edward!

**GIVEAWAY NOW OVER

I found this picture on Amazon, (uploaded by Kimberly) and it took me back to when I first met Edward. If you have not read this amazing series by Stephenie Meyer I would be so pleased to introduce you. I had not read a novel since my last high school reading assignment and after 4 recommendations by all kinds of hip chicks I decided I should, at the very least try. Luckily, when I picked up Twilight (1st in series) the 3rd book was just about to be released. I read all 3 books in about 4 days. I survived drinking bottled frappuccinos and eating peanut M&Ms.
I broke one pair of reading glasses and had to rush to the store to get a new pair. I was so sad finishing the 3rd book because I knew it would be almost a year before the next book would be released. I had forgotten how much fun it can be to escape into a world within a book. Twilight has really revived my love of reading stories. I have spent my time surfing the Internet waiting for any nugget of information about the next book, and the MOVIE~ gasp and swoon.
If you haven't read the book, I would love to give you a copy. Please leave a comment or email me with contact information. I will draw for a winner on August 2nd, the day the 4th book is released.
Your Twerd/fellow Twilighter,
Stephanie

Portrait Class with Paulette Insall

We are into our 2nd lesson. One was sketching the face, Paulette has so many great tips and is a very encouraging teacher. Two was painting a base layer of white and then came the scary part, flesh tones!
AAAAAACKKKKK!

I guess there is an underlying fear about creating the flesh tones, we all know what bad foundation can do to a woman. ugh
Heaven forbid my flesh tone appear grey in photos...... hee hee hee. Well, I think my underpainting of flesh tones may appear like a self tanning job from hell but, we're all friends here.

Check out Paulette's fabulous blog and watch her
You Tube videos, super cool to see her work in time lapse. http://pauletteinsall.typepad.com/
Happy Saturday Night,
Steph
