Food as Art

Well yesterday was my birthday. I celebrated the evening in style at one of my favorite restaurants, Roy's (it's Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine) It is not inexpensive, but so well worth the $$$$! We had an incredible meal. The service is top notch at Roy's. So I simply had to order my favorite dessert called Roy's Melting Hot Chocolate Souffle. It is served with vanilla bean ice cream and raspberry sauce.

The middle of this incredible dessert is ooozing melted liquid chocolate. Are you with me???

So, YES it was phenomenal. Why do you think I like the restaurant so much and brought the camera with to document the event! AND if that wasn't enough.....the fabulous server brought this, too.........

Written in chocolate it says Happy Birthday with a candle to blow out... and there was yummy citrus flavor creme brulee, an exemplary version of the cream puff, a chocolate fudgey torte with root beer ice cream (it was good!), and a moist chewy chocolate chip cookie. Witness the almost gone hot chocolate souffle in the background.

Have you made your reservations to Roy's yet???? See where they are located around the country, including Hawaii of course! http://www.roysrestaurants.com/index.asp

MMMMMM, I hope my birthday wish comes true. I am a lucky girl.

Mahalo!
